Book Club Buzz

Through the Book Club Buzz, authors and publishers can quickly reach over 4,000 book club members across the country.

The Book Club Buzz gives multiple book club members the chance to win copies of a book - and spread the word to fellow readers and book club members. Learn about opportunities to include author recipes when registering for the Book Club Buzz.

The author or publisher selects the number of books (minimum 25, maximum 75) to be given away, and ships the books directly to each of the winning book club members. The books may be paperbacks, hardcovers, or review copies. All names and addresses of book club members are the property of The Book Club Cookbook and may not be used for other solicitations.

Members of our Choose a Book -Invite an Author program will receive a $50.00 discount on these rates.

Each contest is promoted through a dedicated email announcement, sent to over 4,000 book club members. The promotional announcement features a photo of the book cover with links to the author’s website, and a brief synopsis of the book along with short review quotes.

The contest book cover is also featured on the Home and Contest pages of The Book Club Cookbook website for one month, and attracts regular online visitors of The Book Club Cookbook website.

The contest winners are announced in a subsequent issue of Book Bytes, accompanied by a book cover photo and website link.

Featured Author Recipes   *New *

Book clubs love recipes, especially when the recipes are connected to the books they're reading and discussing.  Authors whose books are featured in the Book Club Buzz are invited to contribute a recipe that a book club might prepare when discussing their book. Authors may submit a recipe for a food mentioned in the book, a period recipe, or a recipe that they associate with the story and its creation, along with a brief introduction.  The recipe does not have to be original; it can come another source, such as a cookbook or magazine.

The author recipe is posted on the Featured Author Recipes page of our website, with a link to the page on the website’s Home and Contest pages, in the promotional announcement, and in Book Bytes. There is no fee for this service. Featured Author Recipes remain on the site for readers to enjoy.

Schedule

Two mailings per month are available for the Book Club Buzz.  These slots, available on the 1st and 15th of each month, must be reserved in advance.
